Discovering New Things

On Monday I had a meeting with Angelica and another teacher about an English Camp we will be doing for gifted middle school students. Well afterwards we decided to travel downtown to get some tennis shoes for her to work out in.

Side Note: Many of my friends and I have decided that we have not been making
the best physical choices and have had many wake up calls about our physical
condition and have taken to different methods to become and remain fit. For
example:
Joining a gym
Belly dancing
Pilates (me)

Well while shopping for her I also decided to pick up some shoes that are real tennis shoes and not the cutesy Payless versions I have already. And after our purchases we decided to walk around downtown and ran into two very cool places: Balena and a Cafe Spa Book place (whose name I don't think we know)

So this place Balena is a food place that is very interesting it mixes pasta dishes with waffle cones! I know right! But check the pictures it is actually very cool because we didn't think that it would work or taste right but some how it is the perfect blend of spicy, salty, sweet. We both got the chicken chili in a cone and bowl.

Balena also offers ice cream and coffee for the less adventurous, but I recommend taking a walk on the wild side and trying out the different concoctions.

The second place we went to was the Cafe Spa Book place. We were curious about the sign on the outside since it was advertised as being a spa so we decided to take a look. (Thank you Jackie for teaching us to lookup) Well this place serves tea, coffee products, and ice cream with books and magazines, all in Korean of course, that customers can sit and read. The "Spa" option was something they call "Dr Fish".

As you can see Dr Fish is a tank with little fish that eat the dead skin off of your feet and the more dead skin you have the more fish you have on you.

!!!!!!DISCLAIMER!!!!!

I am freaking out in these videos, there is even a little bit of Beyonce's Listen in there too, and yes it is bad, but hey you would be singing too if you were trying to keep your mind off of little fish bitting your feet and ankles! Enjoy :-)
