2008

Happy New Year everyone. I hope that 2008 is opening with great met expectations for many while it has already proven to be bittersweet for some. Still I have made some great discoveries with my friends finding new places to hang out in Gumi.

This place is a fun place to go because the seats are swings and rocking chairs. They serve coffee tea, smoothies, and cakes. Angelica and I tried our hand at the "cheesecake" once again. And it is not the same. The middle is fine, but the top and bottom are pretty much a dried white cake.

Random Discoveries

One random discovery Angelica and I had while walking downtown was this underwear in a box. For Koreans to be so conservative and shy on the surface it is amazing the subtleties such as this underwear and over the counter birth control pills that makes one wonder otherwise...

Another contradiction...Hard Core Ducky?
On New Years Day Angelica, Jay, and I went out to an early dinner and drinks at this place, (I once again got peppermint tea) but they served some great food and a good array of beverages and shakes. We ate good...
The inside of this place is amazing. You almost forget that you are in the middle of a small city in South Korea. When we got there they obviously thought we were just visiting and decided to play all the hip hop music they had in their CD cases. We had a great time.
I know there are new discoveries to come as I travel around Korea and my city so until next time.....
